Religious Education

The Religious Education Programme

Religious Education strands will be taught at varying times during the school year to reflect an integrated planning approach.

The children’s Religious Education Learning Journals will have a front cover which is to be designed by each child. This honours the Tapu and Holiness of our Religious Education Learning Journals.

There will also be two pages inside the children’s Learning Journals that display our school Values and our special Josephite Charism.

The journals will be sent home regularly for you to discuss your children’s learning and when possible make a comment.

School Masses

The school comes together for Mass to celebrate the feast of St. Joseph, as the school was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph, the feast of St. John the Baptist, the patron saint of the school, the the Feast of the Assumption of Mary and also at the end of the year for the Leavers Mass.

In addition to this, each term houses come together to organise and participate in their own Masses, two houses a term.  These are held on Wednesday mornings at 9:15am in the church.  All parents are invited to attend, and dates are published in the school newsletters.
