It is well worth a read.

School Buses - An Exciting Travel Option

Have you considered your children catching a bus home from school?
We have four buses that pick our children up at 2.50pm and then move on to picking up the Murrays Bay Intermediate children.

They then travel the four bus routes set out on the afternoon bus schedule attached to this newsletter.
Our procedure is that the children line up as you might expect for the bus. As they get on they swipe their hop cards and, as is our rule, sit in the front of the bus together.

You could take the first ride with them, if you wish, and show them where they will get off.
There is a morning schedule which is available from the office.

ANNUAL SUMMER PTFA FAMILY PICNIC

Our PTFA Picnic postponed last Friday will now be held

Friday, 9th March.

Religious Education

Lesson times are Mondays from 10.50 to 11.50 and Wednesdays 9.00 to 10.00.
We ask you to support the programme by assisting your child/children with their home activity pages.

All parents are welcome to attend class and school masses and any other liturgies the children are involved in.

This week all classes begin The God Strand. In their study of God the children will gain an understanding, appropriate to their year level, of the holiness of God.

They will focus on:
God as the creator and understand how God is present everywhere in the world
through his creation.
God’s greatest gift – Jesus, who reveals to us all what God is like

Please see the relevant pages of the Family-Whanau Book. Suggestions for activities at home with the children at different levels can be found on:
Year 1 Pg 17 Year 2 Pg 20 Year 3 Pg 23
Year 4 Pg 26 Year 5 Pg 29 Year 6 Pg 32

Family-Whanau books are available at the Office and should be seen as an essential book to allow you to follow what the children are learning and doing in their Religious Education Programme.
An overview of the current RE Strand will be included in your child’s Religious Education home/school exercise book.

School Stationary

Each class teacher has marked the books required by your child and we would ask you to complete the list, add up the total cost and return it to your child’s class teacher with payment as soon as possible in an envelope. The school EFTPOS facility is available at the school office between 8.15am and 3pm.
Please note the three sections on the Stationery List :

Section 1 : Stationery required by everybody
Section 2 : Items which can be added in if your child needs them
Section 3 : Fixed charges per child or family

You are requested to buy stationery from the school supply so that we can be sure that books are of the correct type and have current line spacing.

Please send your child with a clean plastic bag to allow them to take home books and stationery items for covering and naming.
